I’m excited to start a new and unique series of sermons this Sunday morning. I’ll be preaching through the seven miracles of Jesus recorded in the Gospel of John. In John 20:30-31 we read that “Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” Out of the many miracles Jesus performed, John selected seven to include in his gospel for the stated purpose of helping people to believe in Jesus. These miracles begin with Jesus turning water into wine (John 2) and conclude with Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11). We’re going to be looking at these miracles in order to see the glory of Christ and further place our faith in him.
This Sunday we’re also going to observe the Lord’s Supper. It is always a very special and reverent time. For COVID-related precautionary purposes we will be using the pre-filled communion cups that contain both a small wafer and a portion of grape juice.
Please make sure to pick up a cup before you enter the Sanctuary. The cups will be placed on tables in our foyers near each of the main entrances to our Sanctuary.
